The team behind downtown fusion restaurant Swift’s Attic will open Chinese restaurant Wu Chow in late 2014. The restaurant, which plans to serve authentic modern Chinese cuisine from all provinces, will be located on the ground floor of the new IBC Bank tower at 500 W. 6Sixth St. The menu will have an emphasis on “fresh, crisp and healthful preparations.” Wu Chow plans to serve lunch Monday through Friday, dinner seven nights a week and dim sum on Saturday and Sunday. Swift’s Attic’s Mat Clouser will serve as executive chef at Wu Chow. The culinary team includes Swift’s Attic veterans Callie Speer, a Food & Wine’s People’s Best New Pastry Chef nominee; Jeff Hammett, who will develop the cocktail program; and Cody Budua and Sam Hovland, who will develop the beer and wine programs.
